Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini is celebrating the birth of a son in the early hours of this morning.

The Italian international featured in the Rossoneri's 1-1 draw with Juventus at San Siro last night.

But he had to rush to a Milan hospital to witness the birth of a baby boy just before 2am this morning.

“Federico Ambrosini was born this morning at 1.57 at a clinic in Milan,” a statement reads on the club's official website.

“He weighed 2.7kg at birth. Many congratulations to Mrs Paolo Angelini and Ambrosini from everyone at Milan and all the club's supporters.”
