是你....Pippo Goal !!!!
Group E - June 22 AOL Arena, Hamburg
Czech Republic 0 - 2 Italy
Materazzi 26 (I), Inzaghi 87 (I)
Marcello Lippi's inspired substitutions secured top spot, as Marco Materazzi and Pippo Inzaghi came off the bench to beat the Czech Republic. Thanks to their 2-1 win over the US, Ghana go through in second place.
This was the most open Group in the tournament, as going into the final game all four sides were still in with a chance of qualification. Italy needed a point to be sure of a place in the second round, while a win would secure the top spot. The Czechs were without the suspended Vratislav Lokvenc, Tomas Ujfalusi and injured Jan Koller, but Milan Baros recovered to start.
The Azzurri had Daniele De Rossi out following his dismissal against the USA, but Marcello Lippi opted for a more covered 4-4-1-1 system with Luca Toni on the bench. Simone Perrotta was fit, but Mauro Camoranesi, Gennaro Gattuso and Fabio Grosso came into the side with own goal villain Cristian Zaccardo dropped. Kick-off was preceded by a warm hug between Pavel Nedved and his former Juventus boss Lippi.
The Czechs had the first chance after eight minutes when Baros chested down a Nedved cross, but Gigi Buffon rushed out to charge down the shot with his body. Buffon also got down to block Bianconeri teammate Nedved's long-range drive.
Buffon was again tested, parrying Nedved's strike from the edge of the area and getting back up immediately to block Marek Janlulovski's follow-up. There was bad news for the Azzurri, as Alessandro Nesta limped off with his recurring groin strain and made way for Marco Materazzi.
Italy's first chance came after 24 minutes, as Francesco Totti's chipped cross to the edge of the area found Gennaro Gattuso's looping header on to the roof of the net. Moments later, Gilardino was closed down as he ran on to Andrea Pirlo's searching pass.
From the resulting corner, the Azzurri broke through against the run of play. Substitute Materazzi confirmed his power in the air with a leaping jump on to Totti's set-piece to nod in past Petr Cech. It was his first ever international goal for his 29th cap.
Gattuso was booked for a foul on Nedved, which looked more like a stumble than a purposeful tackle, but Italy began to sit back and invite the Czechs forward, leaving Gilardino rather isolated upfront. Jan Polak was also yellow-carded for hacking down Camoranesi, but Nedved dispossessed Gattuso and almost made them pay for their slow tempo.
Camoranesi clashed heads with Polak and required treatment, while Gilardino couldn't keep Totti's 40-metre pass under control between two centre-backs.
The Czech Republic were reduced to 10 men in first half stoppages when Polak, who had already been booked, went straight through the back of Totti in a futile foul in midfield.
After the break, Hanover forward Jari Stajner replaced former Lazio man Karel Poborsky. Totti's weak chip was comfortably held, then a Totti-Pirlo counter-attack was just past the foot of Simone Perrotta for a potential tap-in from seven yards.
Totti unleashed a powerful strike from 25 metres that Cech fingertipped round the base of the upright, but on the counter Buffon beat away another fierce effort from his club companion Nedved.
From a Totti set-piece, Fabio Cannavaro's acrobatic attempt caused panic in the area and a Baros header was well over. Pippo Inzaghi replaced Gilardino to make his first appearance in this World Cup - his third tournament.
Camoranesi's glancing header from a Totti corner was just wide of the far post, as David Jarolim replaced the not 100 per cent fit Baros, pushing Stajner upfront. Gattuso and Totti shots were charged down, but Inzaghi pounced on a lucky deflection and placed an angled drive wide as Cech rushed out to narrow the angle.
The duel between Buffon and Nedved continued with another palm-stinging save from the 2003 Ballon d'Or winner following some chaotic defending against the 10-man Czechs. Lippi's final substitution saw Palermo's Simone Barone made his World Cup debut for Camoranesi, while Marek Heinz replaced Radoslav Kovac.
Inzaghi was halted for a tight offside decision, but Totti wasted a good opportunity with a poor attempt at a lob.
Italy had another golden opportunity to seal up the game - and leadership of the group - but Pirlo tried to dribble past three players and then Inzaghi nodded his weak cross past the near post. Perrotta also skied the ball, as the Azzurri had problems making their chances count, while at the other end Buffon remained stead to control Jaroslav Plasil's dipping effort.
Inzaghi made up for the earlier errors by scoring in the final minutes to make it 2-0. SuperPippo sprung the offside trap inside his own half and ran all the way up to the field but, with Barone in support, he waltzed round Cech to slot into an empty net.
