　　在接受AC米蘭頻道的採訪時，皮爾洛就自己在對皇馬比賽當晚的進球進行了評說，那是吹響了AC米蘭進攻號角的標誌性進球，AC米蘭中場靈魂表示：“我自己嘗試著射門了，那個距離相當遠，可是那時我預感自己能打進，而結果真的打進了。這個進球好像在世界盃對加納時的那個進球？那時的位置和現在不同，距離球門要更近一些，而且更靠角落一些，不過這兩個進球所帶來的滿足感是一樣的，都是無與倫比的至極滿足。”

　　在當晚對皇馬比賽之後，AC米蘭後衛，皮爾洛的好友內斯塔曾表示自己在皮爾洛進球後對他開玩笑地說：“正是時候。”皮爾洛對此表示：“這是真的，我的隊友們總是跟我說要多試試，儘管我的確是這麼做的，不過我很清楚我應該進行更多的嘗試。由我來嘗試遠距離射門的確是個辦法，實際上我應該多試試這個。”
