Forced into a number of good stops and was equal to most Chievo attacks. A little unlucky for the goal.

Alessandro Nesta  6.5

Calming influence at the back although he would not have been happy with the amount of covering he had to do for Zambrotta.

Thiago Silva 6.5

A rock at the back for the most part, but was taken off injured in the second half with a calf strain.

Luca Antonini  6.0

Gave the ball away too often, allowing Chievo to get in behind him. Provided his usual gusto when going forward, but should not be surrendering possession so frequently.

Gianluca Zambrotta  5.5

Let Constant in behind him way too often. Though did get forward with purpose, his legs did not allow him to get back into defence quickly enough.

Gennaro Ivan Gattuso  7.0

Driving force for Milan, hassled, harried and looks a different player from last season.

Andrea Pirlo  6.0

Didn't get on the ball as much as he would have liked and caught dwelling on occasions, but still showed some class with his passing range.

Clarence Seedorf  6.5

Provided a nice attacking threat from midfield and linked the play well.

Alexandre Pato  Top of the Match  7.5

Opening goal was beautifully taken and showed great awareness for the second. Looked lively all night with a very good performance before being replaced by Robinho. 

Zlatan Ibrahimovic  7.0

Great vision to see Pato at the far post for the first goal and even better for the second. Brilliant display, though did make a two footed lunge in the second half which he was lucky not to get a card for.

Ronaldinho  6.5

Showed some excellent touches, really enjoyed himself in the first half and made a mug of Luca Rigoni with some brilliant close control. Assisted Robinho for the third.

Substitutions

Daniele Bonera  6.0

Came on for the injured Thiago Silva and had one or two shaky moments.

Kevin-Prince Boateng  6.0

Added some much needed dynamism late on as the pace slowed.

Robinho  6.5

A little anonymous when he first came on, but took his goal well as he rounded Sorrentino to tap in from close range.
