Ahead of his official presentation at Real Madrid Kaka has thanked the Rossoneri fans for their positive messages.
Correspondents from Telelombardia and Antenna 3 met the Brazilian in front of his hotel physically handling him the letters from his old supporters – numbering into the thousands.
“This is an important day for me and I am thankful to all the Milan fans and to you for passing me all their messages,” Kakà told the Italian journalists.
“I am sure they will be watching me. I keep them all in my heart because they are part of my story and so is the club.
“I feel I also contributed to Milan’s history which is why there will always be this relationship. Thanks to all of those who wrote to me and for their banners. I will always support Milan.”
Asked whether he will return to play for the Rossoneri one day the new Real player left the door half open.
“Today I start a new adventure, and then we will see. In life you never know what’s going to happen…
“But I am a Real Madrid player now and this is a special day. Thanks again to Milan and their fans for all the beautiful moments I spent at the club and in Italy.”
