Milan were leading 2-0 for 84 minutes, but conceded twice in stoppages for a heart-stopping San Paolo draw!

This has always been a battle royal, going back to their Scudetto showdowns in the 1980s and 90s. Napoli have won both games since Walter Mazzarri took charge, curiously both with a last-gasp Christian Maggio strike. The Rossoneri also pipped Chievo to the post 2-1 thanks to an Alessandro Nesta brace, making it three wins on the trot in all competition.

Fabiano Santacroce, Juan Zuniga, Roberto De Zerbi and the suspended Matteo Contini were out for the home side, while Marco Storari, Christian Abbiati, Gennaro Gattuso, Marek Jankulovski, Daniele Bonera, Oguchi Onyewu and David Di Gennaro stayed away.

Pippo Inzaghi broke the deadlock almost immediately. He sprung the offside trap on a Clarence Seedorf flick over the top and smashed the angled drive into the net from just inside the box.

Napoli tried to fight back, but left themselves open to the counter and Alexandre Pato made it 2-0! From their own box Milan poured forward with a well-worked move, as a clearance and two headers flicked it on for Pato to sprint clear on goal.

However, there was bad news for the Rossoneri too, as Nesta limped off with a muscular problem and was replaced by Kakha Kaladze. Nelson Dida also complained that someone in the stands was aiming a laser pen at his eyes to irritate him.

Ronaldinho failed to make the most of a Grava error, but Napoli took control and poured forward for the rest of the first half, unable to get a shot through to Dida. Marek Hamsik hit the side-netting and Fabio Quagliarella's chip was off target.

After the restart Dida performed a stunning double save to deny both Lavezzi's fierce strike and the Maggio follow-up from point-blank range.

Lavezzi's fine volley flashed inches over the bar and Dida continued his heroics with a triple save - parrying from Walter Gargano, Lavezzi and Hamsik.

Inzaghi hit the back of the net, but was flagged offside, while Ronaldinho was visibly furious when he was substituted. Inzaghi was in play for a second chance, but this time Morgan De Sanctis did enough to narrow the angle in a one-on-one.

Dida blocked a German Denis header and Milan ended the game with 10 men for Ignazio Abate's second bookable offence, a late tackle on Gargano.

Napoli finally got back into the game in the final minute with a stunning Luca Cigarini goal! The corner came out to the D, where the Under-21 international's perfect volley dipped under the bar.

There were five minutes of stoppages with Milan reduced to 10 men, so the San Paolo was fired up.

It worked, as deep into injury time substitute Denis rose above the crowd for a soaring header that looped over Dida into the top corner! Since Mazzarri took charge, this team has scored four goals in stoppages. Maggio flicked up the cross from the right.
